1. Introduction


Oumz ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to respecting and protecting the intellectual property rights of our instructors, students, and third parties. This Intellectual Property Policy ("Policy") outlines the guidelines and rules governing the creation, use, and protection of intellectual property on our platform. By using our services, instructors and students agree to comply with this Policy.

2. Ownership of Content


2.1 Instructor Content
Ownership: Instructors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the content they create and publish on our platform, including but not limited to course materials, lectures, quizzes, assignments, and other instructional content ("Instructor Content"). License to Us: By publishing content on our platform, instructors grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, and perform the Instructor Content for the purpose of operating, marketing, and improving our services. Third-Party Rights: Instructors are responsible for ensuring that their content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party. Instructors must obtain the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions for any third-party content included in their courses. 2.2 Student Content
Ownership: Students retain all rights, title, and interest in and to any content they create and submit through our platform, such as assignments, projects, or feedback ("Student Content"). License to Us: By submitting content on our platform, students grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, and perform the Student Content for the purpose of operating, marketing, and improving our services.

3. Use of Our Content


License to Users: We grant users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our platform and content for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license is subject to compliance with our terms of service and policies. Prohibited Actions: Users may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, or otherwise exploit any content on our platform without our prior written consent or the consent of the content owner.

4. Copyright Infringement and DMCA Policy


4.1 Reporting Infringement

4.2 Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification by providing us with the following information:
A physical or electronic signature of the user.
Identification of the content that was removed or disabled and its location prior to removal.
A statement under penalty of perjury that the user has a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
The user's name, address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that the user consents to the jurisdiction of the federal court in their district or, if outside the United States, the jurisdiction of the courts in the location of our headquarters, and that the user will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
4.3 Repeat Infringers
We will terminate user accounts that are determined to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights, in accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws.

5. Trademarks


Our name, logo, and any other trademarks, service marks, or trade names displayed on our platform are the property of Oumz or third parties. Users may not use these marks without our prior written permission or the permission of the third party that owns the marks.

6. Changes to This Policy


We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify users of any significant changes by posting the updated Policy on our website and, where appropriate, through direct communication.
